In an effort to activate our space and engage the local community, we are rolling out a program in-situ about all-things-art. ARTHOUSE @ NYLO will continue its silent film screening series with Italian legend Federico Fellini's 8 1/2 (1963), featuring the debonaire Marcello Mastroianni. Troubled Italian filmmaker Guido Anselmi (Mastroianni) struggles with creative stasis as he attempts to get a new movie off the ground. Overwhelmed by his work and personal life, the director retreats into his thoughts, which often focus on his loves, both past and present, and frequently wander into fantastical territory. As he tries to sort out his many entanglements, romantic and otherwise, Anselmi finds his production becoming more and more autobiographical.

Individual headsets will be provided by SoundOff™ for a fully immersive experience. Ticket includes one of two unique specialty cocktails inspired by the film and a box of popcorn.

The back-to-back screenings take place Wednesday, June 7th at 6:30PM and 9:30PM in the NYLO Library-turned-Screening-Room. To secure a spot, please reserve online. Thank you!

[This movie is recommended for ages 13 and up.] Run time: 2hr 18min
